Hydrotherapy

Swim sessions are led by a certified canine hydrotherapist and harness the therapeutic benefits of warm water to allow dogs to exercise in a low-impact, weightless environment.

Hydrotherapy can aid recovery following surgery, help build or maintain muscle mass, and support the management of long-term conditions such as arthritis, hip or elbow dysplasia, cruciate ligament injuries, patella luxation, and other mobility challenges.

Benefits of Hydrotherapy

  • Decreases pain perception and inflammation

  • Relieves muscle tension and spasms

  • Increases joint mobility, easing stiffness and arthritis

  • Provides a non-weight-bearing environment for safe exercise

  • Offers physical support for weakened or recovering dogs

  • Reduces frustration in dogs on cage rest or restricted exercise

  • Improves cardiovascular fitness

  • May promote an earlier return to normal activity

  • Helps slow the progression of degenerative conditions

  • Enhances overall quality of life

To ensure the safety and suitability of treatment, we are required to contact your registered veterinarian before the first session to obtain a brief medical history and confirm that your dog is fit for hydrotherapy.
